I remember sitting at my home desk one Sunday afternoon thinking about my most memorable trips that I had led to over 120 countries.

Over the past two years, it has been a blessing to stay at an abbey with Trappist Monks, a convent with the Sisters of Saint Benedict, hike close to two hundred miles on a pilgrimage, and participate in eight international yoga retreats.

Paradise means something different to everyone. For some, the idea of paradise is sitting on a quiet beach or next to the pool with a book. Others like to enjoy daily yoga, explore and find adventure! We have it all!  

Morocco… such a magical and vibrant country! Our group of adventurer travelers and I have looked forward to this special journey for over a year.  Time is being spent in the exciting city of Marrakesh before heading to the High Atlas Mountains to hike, practice yoga, ride ATVs, and camp in the Agafay desert.  The trip will then conclude on the Atlantic Ocean in Essaouira to ride camels and enjoy the seaside.

Happy Holidays, dear friends, from Antarctica!  It is an understatement to say I am thrilled to be on a beautiful private ship for 15 days, traveling to never before explored areas.  

After 17 years and three different rental properties, we are thrilled to announce that we are ready to build our own Girls for Success school in the heart of the rainforest in the Caribe Sur (southern Caribbean) region of Costa Rica. This has been a long-standing dream of ours. Jean Deeds, Appalachian Trail conqueror and great friend to all of us, 

France truly is a journey for the senses.  The combination of breathtaking sights, the smell of lavender in the village shops, the unbelievable tastes at every meal, the feel of the earth walking the countryside, and the sounds of nature all make Provence an unforgettably joyful experience.     

Peace begins WITHIN.   It is almost daily that we hear some news in the world that can affect our sense of peace, safety, and groundedness. Our minds rarely have time to be still due to the external world and our own busy lifestyle.  It is important to find tools to go within and find calmness and peace. 

"A Year in Provence" as captured by author Peter Mayle in his best-selling book would be lovely, but perhaps not likely. Fear not, friends! Join us for a week in Provence exploring villages and farmers' markets, ..

Our goal is to make an impact through international yoga, adventure, and service retreats.  Our service focuses on empowering girls and women in  the destinations we serve. 

A Pilgrimage in Action
Two groups totaling 27 women accepted the challenge to hike the last 70 miles of the 1000 year old spiritual trail of the Camino de Santiago in Spain this month.  Preparing Physically Each "pilgrim" who accepted the Camino challenge has taken seriously the need to be prepared physically. 

A highly respected group of leaders visited Costa Rica on a capstone journey entitled “Many Worlds That Fit: Justice, Sustainability, and Resource Security in a Changing Latin America”. This trip was organized by the Great Lakes Leadership Academy (https://www.canr.msu.edu/glla/index) 

Immerse yourself in the wonders of Morocco.  Trek the Atlas Mountains, ride camels in the Sahara, experience glamping in desert tents, explore the markets in Marrakech, deepen your yoga practice, a visit to two women's co-ops, and much more!  An intoxicating country that is mystical, ancient, challenging and exotic.   

Greetings from Dominica.  It has been an incredible week of hiking, kayaking, yoga, and snorkeling as well as working with the local people to set up a long-term sustainable program. We are excited to be adding Dominica to our Peace through Yoga Foundation’s Adventure, Yoga and Service retreat schedule for years to come.  Hope you will join us this May or November and find out why.

Since the early 9th century, the Camino de Santiago, known in English as the Way of St. James, has been a pilgrimage leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great, where tradition holds that the remains of the apostle are buried.
