This 8-day walking tour of southwest Ireland offers a delightful combination of breathtaking scenery, rich history, and cultural experiences.

Itinerary

Day 1

Depart your hometown for Dublin, Ireland

Day 2

Arrive Ireland and transfer to our centrally located hotel, Iveagh Gardens.

Dublin

The vibrant capital of Ireland, is a city where history and modernity intertwine seamlessly. Known for its rich literary heritage, it was home to famed writers like James Joyce and Oscar Wilde. Visitors can explore historic landmarks such as Trinity College, home to the stunning Book of Kells, and Dublin Castle, a symbol of the city’s medieval past. Dublin’s
lively atmosphere is best experienced in its traditional pubs, where live music and friendly locals create an unforgettable ambiance. With its charming streets, cultural attractions, and warm hospitality, Dublin offers a perfect introduction to the spirit of Ireland.

Day 3

Journey to Dingle (3 miles)

Following breakfast, we will depart Dublin to County Kerry. Stops along the way will include:
• Adare, Limerick: A picturesque town known for its charming, thatched cottages, brightly colored buildings, and Adare Manor, once home to the Earl of Dunraven.
• Visit Inch Beach: which is a 3-mile Blue Flag beach that stretches across Dingle Bay, taking in the magnificent views of the Dingle Peninsula and Ring of Kerry.  Here you can enjoy a wonderful walk to get some fresh air or possibly practice some yoga. 
Later walk from Beenbawn Beach into Dingle.

Evening in Dingle. Known as “An Daingean” in Gaelic, Dingle is a charming village filled with quaint pubs, live Irish music, craft stores, coffee shops, and excellent restaurants. Unique to Dingle: some pubs double as general stores, selling shoes, tools, and other everyday items.

Accommodations:
The Dingle Harbour Lodge, often described as “the perfect location”, is a five-minute stroll along Dingle’s prestigious seafront to all of the town’s amenities. The Yacht marina is directly across the road, which is an ideal area for a short leisurely walk, or perhaps some other water activities, such as kayaking or visiting “Fungi”, the Dingle Dolphin. Also within walking distance along the seafront is Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium, shops, aware winning restaurants and traditional pubs.

Day 4

Walk Mount Brandon (5 miles)

After a hearty breakfast, head to Mount Brandon for a moderate to intermediate walk on open mountain tracks. The walk will take about four hours and the views from its summit are breath-taking. From the summit you can see the Wild Atlantic all around you. You can also see the Blasket Islands, the Skellig Island’s (Star Wars fame) and Ireland’s highest Mountain range on the Iveragh Peninsula. After our walk on Mt. Brandon, we will return to Dingle. Enjoy free time to explore craft shops, relax with local seafood, or unwind in one of the village’s welcoming pubs.

Day 5

The Gap of Dunloe and Killarney National Park (8 miles)

This morning, we will leave Dingle early and make our way to Killarney and its beautiful lakes at the National Park. We will take a boat from the historic 15 th -century Ross Castle across the lakes of Killarney to Lord Brandon’s Cottage. From here we will start a moderate four hour walk through the stunning Gap of Dunloe, a picturesque valley framed by Purple Mountain and MacGillycuddy’s Reeks. The terrain will be small roads and hill trails. Finally, at the top of the valley and on completion of our walk, there is Kate Kearney’s cottage. Here you can enjoy a well-earned break, before we make our way back to Killarney by bus. Relax back in Killarney, a vibrant town known for its scenic beauty, historic sites, and live Irish music.


Accommodations:
Located only one mile from town, Hotel Killarney is a great base to explore both Killarney and Kerry. The superb facilities and extensive range of activities make this the perfect destination for all. All guests have access to Club Vitae Leisure Centre, which offers an indoor heated swimming pool,jacuzzi, steam room, and fully equipped gym.

Day 6

Torc Waterfall and Mountain or Torc Waterfall Circular Walk (4-6.5 miles)

Today we will travel towards Muckross House Gardens and start our walk towards Torc Waterfall. The hike will take us to Torc Waterfall above the lakes of Killarney with incredible views. A longer walk is an option that continues to the summit of Torc Mountain. You can decide on the day, if you choose to add the summit.


We will return to the Hotel Killarney. The town of Killarney is the most visited town in Ireland. As well as all its scenic beauty there are numerous restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs with live Irish music. Enjoy yoga prior to dinner.

Day 7

Lahinch and the Cliffs of Moher (5 miles)

This morning, we journey along Ireland’s stunning west coast, following the famed “Wild Atlantic Way.” Crossing the River Shannon, Ireland’s longest and most legendary river named after an ancient Celtic goddess, is a highlight. As we take the ferry across its mouth, be on the lookout for playful schools of dolphins often seen in the waters. Once we dock on the
far side, we’ll arrive in County Clare, ready to explore its captivating landscapes and rich heritage.

Once in County Clare, we’ll journey along the coast road towards the charming town of Lahinch, a surfer’s paradise renowned for its excellent waves. Lahinch is also a favorite holiday destination for Irish families, offering a variety of activities. Continuing north, we’ll visit Brigid’s Well before embarking on a scenic cliff walk to the Cliffs of Moher. This easy-to- moderate 2.5-hour walk on grass tracks offers breathtaking views and engages all the senses. The Cliffs of Moher, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are one of Ireland’s most iconic natural wonders, rising dramatically above the Atlantic Ocean.


We will then head to Doolin to spend the next two nights. Known as the capital of Irish traditional music, Doolin offers a lively atmosphere with music-filled pubs, local cuisine, and a chance to practice speaking Gaelic in this Gaeltacht area.

The Lahinch Coast Hotel is a four-star spacious hotel in the coastal village of Lahinch County Claire with leisure center and swimming pool. The hotel is a stone's throw away from Lahinch's famous Blue Flag beach, the famous Cliffs of Moher, Unique Burren landscape, Aran Islands, Aillwee Cave and Loop Head.

Day 8

Explore the Aran Islands (Fun Miles on a Bicycle)

Today we will take a break from walking and visit one of the most spectacular places in all of Ireland: the Aran Islands. We will take a Ferry from Doolin to Inis Mor, the largest of the three Aran Islands. This is a Gaeltacht area where Irish is still the main language. The Island is full of wonder and absolutely beautiful. We will explore by bicycle, visiting highlights such as Dún Aonghasa, a dramatic prehistoric fort perched on a 300-ft cliff and enjoying the island’s stunning beaches or take a dip in the Atlantic. Yoga on the beach is on the agenda. Return to Doolin for our farewell dinner and an evening of live Irish music.

Return to Dublin

After breakfast, return to Dublin Airport.

care as she combines the experiences of nature, mindfulness, yoga, and healing.

 

She has cultivated a deep understanding of the mind-body connection, using the great outdoors as a powerful backdrop for personal growth. She leads and teaches with the belief that all that you need is already within you. Mariah’s hope as trip leader is to guide others to the healing potential of both movement and stillness, while living in joy and gratitude.

Mariah is a born and raised Hoosier whose greatest joys are nature, yoga, golden retrievers, and time spent with loved ones.
